Description

One of the rarities, and the only actinopterygian from the Sandwick fish beds. An early relative of the sharks and Rays, this is a fair, medium sized example of the species. Rarely preserved well, and usually found as a vague smudge in the matrix, this specimen though not the best quality shows well the overall distinctive shape, including tail, dorsal and anal fin, with some definition to the skull plates.

A good opportunity to add a rarity to the collection at a very reasonable price.

Specimen measures 255mm in length
